Maybe you’ve heard about the Diocese of Worcester’s Young Adult Summit. Maybe you haven’t. Here are 8 questions answered about this awesome upcoming event:
1. What is the Young Adult Summit?
It’s a gathering of young adults (ages 18-39) from around the diocese of Worcester. The goal of the night is to talk with young adults about what they want in young adult ministry.
2. Does it cost anything?
Not a penny. It’s free!
3. Who’s going to be there?
Young Adults ages 18-39, Married and single, college students and working professionals, and YOU. Our goals is to have representation from every parish in the diocese. That means we want AT LEAST 1 young adults from every parish (you can bring a group with you) Please invite your parish priest to attend as well!
4. What’s going to happen at the summit?
We’re serving dinner (It’s going to be delicious and it’s free). There will be a brief presentation on the NEW office’s goals for YA ministry in the coming years, small and large group discussion, brainstorming, and time to get to know other young adults.
5. Am I committing to anything by coming to the summit?
No! This is a commitment-free event. You are not signing your life away. You’re not even promising to come to future young adult events. We just want you to know that you’re not alone and give you an opportunity to share your thoughts on diocesan young adult ministry.
6. Why should I come?
We want to plan future events that are of interest to young adults. We want your feedback. Come make your voice known. We all need community, this is where it starts!
7. How do I sign up?
RSVP here.
8. What can I do to spread the word?
Share these flyers and this blog post with your parish, your priests, and your young adult friends on social media.
