"No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you φίλους (friends)"
Our Mission
Forming a young community in Christ centered on building lifelong friendships as we strive for sainthood
Our name {fee’-los} comes from the word Jesus uses in John 15:15 to describe those who have been following him and for whom he lays down his life: friends.
Philous is meant to be a community for young adults of Faith in the Central Massacheusettes area to plug into so that we can form friendships, grow in prayer with others, strengthen our Catholic identity, enjoy life, and have a platform from which other groups and activities of Faith can spring.
We aim to have two monthly gatherings. Our baseline format is 6 PM Adoration followed by a social at St. John's Church on the first Sunday of the month. We meet a second time a month for an outing, service event, Holy Day festivity, etc.
